Do you use chemicals, antibiotics or other medicines?
We do not use any herbicides, fungicides or pesticides on our farms.
Regarding antibiotics and other treatments, the only time we treat with any medicine is if an animal becomes seriously ill. We’re not against medicine on a case-by-case basis where needed, but WE ARE against the broad and routine application that is used in standard conventional agriculture practices. Because we raise them in fresh air and sunshine, with their natural choice of food, they are healthy and rarely require any medical interventions. However, we also raise our animals humanely, thus we will treat them if required rather than let them suffer. After treatment, we go above and beyond the recommended withdrawal periods to ensure the animal is safe for harvesting.
We only treat for legitimate health concerns, which is rare. Other than that, it’s Mother Nature doing her thing.
