Q: What do you feed your animals? Do they eat any corn or soy?

Beef, Bison, & Lamb: Grassfed: These animals are 100% grassfed and finished. They do not eat any grain, corn, or soy. Ever. We rotationally graze these animals, so they are moved daily to fresh pasture. During the winter months when the grass isn't growing, we use regenerative farming methods such as bale grazing or unrolling bales of hay to keep them fed. Pork: Pasture Raised: Our hogs are pasture raised and rotated every 7-10 days onto fresh pasture. Hogs prefer to settle into an area so they are not moved daily like our other animals. No-GMOS: In addition to what they forage on pasture, our hogs are fed a non-GMO grain that contains soy and corn. Meat Chickens and Egg Laying Hens: Pasture Raised: Our Meat Chickens are raised only during the warm summer months and are moved onto fresh pasture every day. Our chickens are truly free range. We use a tractor to pull our portable chicken coops which have skiis on the bottom that allow it to be dragged along the pasture. The tarp sides of this mobile chicken coop are rolled up so the chickens are able to roam freely and peck around. We continue to raise our Egg Laying Hens during the colder winter months. We use a deep bedding system and roll out hay for our layers to forage through. No-GMOS: In addition to what they forage on pasture, our poultry are fed a non-GMO grain that contains soy and corn.

How do I place an order?

Accepted Answer

All orders are made online through our website. You may select for local pickup or shipping. We have a $75 order minimum for all orders. We do not have an actual storefront where customers can shop, so please place your order ahead of time on the website.

Local Pickup We pack orders for local pickup within 24 business hours of receiving your order. Once your order is ready for pickup, you'll receive an email notification letting you know it is ready. Your order will be waiting for you in our customer freezers. You do not need to schedule a time to get your order. Our pickup room is entirely self-serve. We just ask that you grab your order within 7 days of receiving your 'Ready for Pickup!' email to conserve space in our freezers. Our pickup room is open from 7am-7pm, 365 days a year.

Shipping Your order will be shipped within 1-3 business days after you have placed it. Once your order has been shipped, you will receive a confirmation email with a UPS tracking number for your package. Depending on your proximity to our farm, your order will then arrive in 1-3 business days after you have received your shipping confirmation email. While you don’t need to be home at the exact time of delivery, we recommend being available later that day to bring your items inside for proper storage in your freezer or refrigerator as soon as possible.

Is Rebel Pastures Organic?

We are not organic certified and proud of that fact. The truth is that in the current state of our country's food system, organic means very little if you don't know the farmer that raised the food you are eating. This label claim, (just like pasture raised, grassfed, free range, cage free, etc.) has been revised and watered down so many times that it no longer carries its original meaning. A large amount of organic food is being imported from outside our country where we have no idea how it's treated, raised, or processed. Here at Rebel, we believe in knowing your farmer because that's the only way you will know your food.

Do you use antibiotics?

Accepted Answer

Rarely. The only time we will administer an antibiotic is if animal becomes seriously ill. We’re not against medicine on a case-by-case basis where needed, but WE ARE against the broad and routine application that is used in standard conventional agriculture practices. Conventional farms dose their livestock feed and water with antibiotics, so they are constantly receiving a low dose of antibiotic their entire life. This is NOT a practice we stand by. Because we raise our animals outdoors in fresh air and sunshine, with their natural choice of food, they are healthy and rarely require any medical interventions. However, we also raise our animals humanely, thus we will treat them if required rather than let them suffer. After treatment, we go above and beyond the recommended withdrawal periods to ensure the animal is safe for harvesting.

We only treat for legitimate health concerns, which is rare. Other than that, it’s Mother Nature doing her thing.

Do you ship to my State/Address?

We ship to all lower 48 states via UPS 2 Day Ground , UPS 3 Day Ground and UPS 2nd Day Air.

Please review the following if you are receiving an error message at checkout "Shipping not available. Your order cannot be shipped to the selected address.":

This message can appear when your cart includes both subscription items and one-time purchase items, and your subscription items alone do not meet our $75 minimum order requirement.

Even if your total cart value is over $75, subscription items must meet the minimum by themselves. This is because your future subscription renewal will include only your subscription items, and their total must meet our $75 minimum order requirement.
